SNOOPY AT NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE OPENING BELL CEREMONY
On Thursday, October 23rd, pop-culture icon Snoopy, of PEANUTS fame, joined Kenneth W. Lowe, president and chief executive officer of The E. W. Scripps Company, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, and others at Scripps, as they presided over the opening bell ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange in celebration of the company's 125th anniversary. Snoopy represented United Media, the company’s licensing and syndication subsidiary, which has distributed the PEANUTS comic strip since 1950. Emeril participated in the opening bell ceremony representing the Food Network, which is 70 percent owned by Scripps.
