The Trouble with Derek Luann Gets Her First 15,000 Drawings A Very SADD Story Goodbye, Aaron



The series ended in the Big Fashion Show itself, which featured 12 more readers' designs. But this time, I did the drawings, putting the reader's fashions on my characters.


The hard part for me here was to do accurate figure drawings. It would've looked very odd to draw cartoon bodies. These fashion show strips forced my drawing to a new level of realism. No more big heads on little bodies. I moved somewhere between "Peanuts" and "Mary Worth."


The big climax was this strip, with Luann and Aaron in full wedding attire. The actual drawing the reader had sent of this wedding dress was awesome. I took great pains to reproduce it accurately.
