This was the key strip in this series - Bernice realizes Derek's been using her locker to hide marijuana. Notice there's no "punch line" at the end. This was the first time I wrote a strip that wasn't a joke (I mean on PURPOSE).


I can still remember working on the last panel in this strip. I'd never drawn two characters kissing and, man, did I have a hard time getting it right. I couldn't figure out what to do with the noses. Just like in real life.
